A friendly school with a warm, caring 'family' atmosphere where hard work and active participation are keenly encouraged. These comments from parents sum up much of what BROADWATER MANOR SCHOOL stands for. Small classes, excellent facilities and a caring staff help ensure that a constructive learning environment exists for all our pupils. There is a continuity of eduction from Mother & Toddlers groups (age 2+), Nursery classes (3-5 years), onto full-time schooling which starts in our Pre-Prep (4-7 years) and culminates in the Prep department (8-13 years) Scholarship and Common Entrance classes. A structured framework develops language skills together with Mathematical and Scientific processes. Design & Technology, Art, PE and Music figure prominently alongside traditional subjects in the weekly timetable with French taught from age 8 and German from age 10.
In recent years many scholarships have been won to Senior Independent Schools and successes in the sporting, artistic and musical fields. As we look back on our sixty five year history it is apparent that a very strong foundation exists to face the challenges of the coming years. Admidst the changes to the national education system we have not lost sight of our intention to provide a thorough grounding in the basic skills of reading, writing and mathematics. Our Design/Technology workshop and Information Technology room help to ensure that pupils are prepared for the future. At the heart of our success lies the fact that we are able to treat pupils as individuals. If you would like to see what we could offer your child please contact the school for an appointment to see the Headteacher.
